Celebrating ICD Europe’s second royal award
We were thrilled to work with ICD Europe last month to help organise the celebration of their second royal accolade—the prestigious King's Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
The award, presented on 18th October at ICD Europe's Sheffield headquarters, marks another monumental achievement for this incredible company, who already won the Queen’s Award for International Trade in 2022.
This dual recognition is a testament to their global reach, dedication to excellence, and outstanding growth since their founding in 2016.
As ICD’s preferred agency, we had the honour of helping bring the celebration to life by managing a range of elements, from event branding to catering and team experiences. Here’s a peek at some of the key aspects we worked on:
Event branding and graphics
For an occasion this significant, we focused on creating a visual experience that honoured ICD Europe’s prestigious achievement. Our design team crafted bespoke event graphics and point-of-sale (POS) materials, ensuring the brand's identity and the Royal recognition were front and centre. From welcome banners to signage highlighting the company’s accomplishments, the design elements helped set the tone for a memorable celebration.
Traditional pie and peas with a local twist
When it came to food, ICD Europe’s team was treated to a quintessentially Yorkshire feast—pie and peas - with a special twist: the addition of our beloved Henderson's Relish! Locally sourced and perfectly paired with a selection of drinks from Lynne’s Kitchen, the meal was a nod to the company's Sheffield roots and the tight-knit, community-focused values that have contributed to its success.
Branded shirts for a unified look
To ensure everyone felt part of the occasion, we organised branded shirts for the ICD team. This not only added a sense of unity but also provided an opportunity to showcase the company’s pride in its latest achievement. The shirts, custom-designed to reflect the milestone, became a great keepsake for everyone involved.
Capturing the moment
Of course, no celebration is complete without the right moments captured for posterity. Andy Gallacher was on hand to document the special occasion, from the official award presentation with the Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, Dame Hillary Chapman, to the light-hearted moments during the team’s afternoon of activities.
A day of fun and recognition
After the formal ceremony, the team enjoyed a laid-back afternoon of fun in Sheffield city centre, including bowling, ping-pong, shuffleboard, and pool. It was the perfect opportunity for staff to relax, bond, and enjoy a celebratory atmosphere following a significant milestone in ICD Europe’s journey.
